Prenup Journey is operated by CohabMonkey, based in Ireland. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with your use of prenupjourney.com and the Prenup Journey application.

2. Information We Do Not Collect
Unlike most web applications, Prenup Journey is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect:
- Your name or your partner's name
- Any financial information you enter into the app
- The content of your agreement or any exhibit
- Your answers to any questions within the app
- Your location beyond the country you select in the disclaimer
- Device identifiers or fingerprinting data
All information you enter into the Prenup Journey app is stored locally on your own device using your browser's built-in storage. It is never transmitted to any server operated by CohabMonkey.
3. Information We Do Collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate the service:
- Payment information — processed entirely by Gumroad. We receive confirmation that a payment was made but do not handle or store your card details. Gumroad's privacy policy applies to payment processing.
- Email address — if you contact us directly by email, we will retain your email address solely to respond to your query.
- Cookie preference — we store a single cookie to remember that you have acknowledged our cookie notice. This cookie contains no personal data.
4. Cookies
Prenup Journey uses one cookie only:
- cookiesAccepted — a simple flag stored in your browser to remember that you have seen and dismissed our cookie notice. It contains no personal information and is not used for tracking.
We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, tracking pixels or any third-party cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or any similar service.
You can clear this cookie at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or cookies for prenupjourney.com.
5. Your Agreement Data
Any information you enter into the Prenup Journey app — including names, financial details, personal commitments and exhibit content — is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage on your own device.
- This data is never sent to CohabMonkey's servers
- This data is never shared with any third party by us
- If you clear your browser data, this information will be permanently deleted
- If you save or download your agreement draft, the resulting file is stored on your device under your own control
You are solely responsible for the security and backup of any data stored on your device.
6. Third Party Services
Prenup Journey uses a small number of third-party services:
- Gumroad — payment processing. Your payment data is handled by Gumroad Inc. under their privacy policy at gumroad.com/privacy
- Google Fonts — we load fonts from Google's servers. Google may log the request. See Google's privacy policy for details.
- Netlify — website hosting. Netlify may log standard server access data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance purposes.
We do not sell, rent or share your information with any third party for marketing purposes.
7. Your Rights Under GDPR
As an operator based in Ireland, we are subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because we collect minimal personal data, most GDPR rights have limited practical application to our service — but they still apply:
- Right of access — you can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
- Right to erasure — you can request deletion of any personal data we hold
- Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Right to object — you can object to our processing of your data
- Right to portability — you can request your data in a portable format

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission Ireland at dataprotection.ie.
8. Data Security
Because we do not store your agreement data on our servers, the primary security responsibility lies with your own device. We recommend:
- Using a device with a screen lock or password
- Not using Prenup Journey on a shared or public device
- Downloading and saving your agreement draft to a secure location
- Treating your downloaded agreement file as a sensitive document
Our website is served over HTTPS to protect data in transit between your browser and our hosting provider.
9. Children
Prenup Journey is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Users are required to confirm their age before accessing the application.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as the service evolves to include cloud storage and mobile applications. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
Continued use of the service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
